STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER RESCUE
Affiliated to the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Welfare : Registered Charity 1058627

Mrs Norma Vann

We cover the Leicestershire area as well as Northants, Nuneaton, Notts & Derby and parts of Lincolnshire.

We operate on a 'home to home' basis which means that most of our dogs are still in their present homes.  All dogs are assessed and all prospective new homes will need to be homechecked.

Leicester Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rescue is run by Norma Vann who has rehomed Staffords for over 25 years.  We are a registered charity but this is a voluntary organisation.

DEAR STAFFY LOVER

AT THE PRESENT TIME THE STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER IS IN DIRE STRAITS AND MANY ARE BEING PUT TO SLEEP DUE TO THE FACT THAT THERE IS NO SPACE AVAILABLE FOR THEM TO BE TEMPORARILY HOMED AT SHORT NOTICE.

OFTEN THE OWNERS ARE BEING MADE HOMELESS AND CAN NO LONGER HOUSE OR PROVIDE FOR THE DOG AND WHILST WE DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO TAKE THEM ON BOARD WE ARE VERY LIMITED FOR SPACE.

NEW OWNERS DO NOT COME FORWARD AS OFTEN AS THEY ONCE DID.AND YET THE AMOUNT OF DOGS COMING INTO CARE INCREASES BY THE DAY.

BEING A VOLOUNTARY ORGANISATION WE DO OFFER FOSTER CARE WHEREVER POSSIBLE BUT ARE VERY LIMITED AS TO HOW MANY CAN BE PROVIDED FOR AT ANY ONE TIME AND AS MOST KENNELS ARE FULL TO BURSTING THEY USUALLY CANNOT OFFER US ANY HELP.

WE ARE THEREFORE DESPERATELY TRYING TO RAISE FUNDS IN ORDER TO PROVIDE KENNELING SPACE AS A TEMPORARY MEASURE TO ANY WHO MAY NEED IT AND TO PROVIDE MORE VOLOUNTARY CARERS.

ARE YOU ABLE TO OFFER ANY HELP BY VOLOUNTARILY GIVING OF YOUR TIME AND PATIENCE TO TEMPORARILY TAKE IN A STAFFY IN NEED? ARE YOU ABLE TO FUNDRAISE ON THIER BEHALF? IF SO, PLEASE CONTACT THE CO-ORDINATOR, NORMA VANN  ON 01664 840570 - OR IF YOU WISH TO MAKE A DONATION TOWARDS THIER WELFARE, THERE IS A PAYPAL DONATION BUTTON AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE.

ASH

2 year old Pretty black bitch. ASH is ready for a new home now that the puppies have grown up.

ASH has been through a lot so needs a quiet loving home where she can learn to trust again.

She is obedient, house trained, good on the lead, loves her walks and will ignore other dogs if they ignore her.

She would prefer to be the only pet in the house.
FLASH

6 year old Black Brindle male a little overweight- castrated and microchipped.

Good with children and other dogs.
RONNIE

2yr old lovely bitch dark brindle bitch. Vaccinated, chipped not spayed.

Great with children but is living with an older bitch and they are not getting along. A lovely friendly people orientated girl.

She has a cherry eye which has been checked by a vet as not a problem.

ARCHIE   RESERVED

11 month old pied dog who is chipped and innoculated

He is used to kids who regularly visit but is boisterous at first so possibly from 10 yrs up, he is also generally good with other dogs

Being rehomed due to marraige split and being left for very long hours,

His owner will be working away from February on so urgent
RASCAL & LEXI

RASCAL - 2 year old brindle male - castrated and vaccinated. A lovely boy that is well behaved, used to being left, good with children (lives with tiny baby). Good with other dogs and lives with LEXI.

LEXI - 12 month old black bitch - nothing done. Lexi is tall for a bitch but has a lovely sweet face and is very friendly. She currently lives with RASCAL and they make a lovely couple.

RUBY   POSSIBLY RESERVED

Approx 2 year old dark brindle bitch. She was found wandering and is now in foster care living with other dogs and cats.

She is very thin and is in poor condition but is doing well, eating well.

She is obedient, housetrained and very loving little sweet girl who just needs some TLC to bring her back to health.

She is a very pretty little bitch.

She will be spayed and microchipped and a contribution towards her vaccines will be paid by the council. Could you be the home to restore RUBY to her beautiful self.

RUBY -previously ASHTON - Thank you to everyone who has donated towards helping her. She is doing well.
MURPHY

2 year old (3 in March) black KC registered boy- castrated, vaccinated and microchipped.

Murphy is well behaved and walks well on the lead. He is OK with bitches and most dogs as long as not confronted (as with most males).

He is used to being left for about 4 hours and as per normal staffords like his creature comforts of a warm comfy sofa.

Has been used to children that visit. Not goods with cats or anything small and furry that moves as this is playtime.

A truly lovely boy and a great example of the breed.

ROCKY
