The year is 1988 and Sam Morton has been sacked from his job. The boss said he was a rubbish guard dog and was too friendly and gentle with everyone. Sam must now find another job but he has no real idea what kind of work he is suited to.
He worked for a day in a sweet shop but was sacked for giving free lollypops to all the children and for eating
too much chocolate then being sick on the shop floor.
Next, he had a job as a painter and decorator but even though he wore overalls he got a lot of paint on himself and
it took ages to get the paint out of his fur.
One day the Job Centre told him about a small building company which needed Office Staff. Sam, being a "Staff 'ord", knew right away that this just had to be the job for him. Click here to read the full length photo story
