My house has bare floorboards. Although it is cool in the summer, I get very cold lying on the floor during winter time. My selfish owners won't allow me on the furniture. What can I do ?

My person has this upsetting habit of leaving me alone for long periods of time, while she goes to "work" (whatever that is. Do you think there's cheese there? Is she just trying to get out of sharing the cheese?). Recently, I thought she had finished with this silliness (did she eat all the cheese?), as she didn't go for a really long time. We got to go to the extra-fun park EIGHT TIMES, so I know it was a really long time, even though I'm a dog and can't read the calendar. (maybe if it was made of cheese...) But now, she has started this awful habit again! (perhaps she found some more cheese?). What should I do?
