I found some balloons last night whilst tidying out a drawer.  These must have been from a packet for Sam.  Sam loved balloons and when he was younger I would blow up a dozen or so at a time for him and he loved to play with them, chase them and burst them.   For some reason I just assumed that Max and Dani would love to play with them too.

Dani has no idea what the balloon is and she is quite nervous.
Max decides there is nothing to fear and starts to play with the balloon.
Max pushes it around a little - Dani backs away
Dani looks at the balloon with suspicion.  Max comes over for a closer look.
Max comes over and they both stand and stare a it for a while
The balloon is burst and Max looks confused - Where did it go ?
Max decides there is nothing to fear.  He plays with the balloon for a little while Dani keeps her distance.  He bites it and BANG the balloon bursts.  Dani runs & disappears under a bed.  Max looks confused.  Where did the balloon go ? 
Max burst this balloon almost immediately
Max gets another balloon but bursts it immediately.
There is one balloon left and I hold it out to Max.  He has now "killed" two balloons and the noise they made was terrible.  Dani is still hiding under the bed.    Max is really not sure that he wants to go near the last balloon.

I don't know if I can face it !
OK, deep breath.... and ....Here goes !!
Max jumps at the balloon a few times and he barks at it - very loudly - maybe he can scare the balloon away.  The balloon won't go - it stands it's ground.  Max is never one to lose face - ever !  He plucks up all his courage and dives at the balloon, bursting it quickly and mercilessly.

You have no idea how pleased and relieved I am knowing that we can all sleep safely in our beds at night knowing we have the bold and fearless SBT Max to protect us from balloons (and tears in our covers) !
