Bonzo, the cartoon dog featured in this book was created by artist George E. Studdy sometime between the end of the first World War and the beginning of the twenties. The dog was christened "Bonzo" in 1922 and from then on grew in popularity at a terrific rate. Bonzo books, postcards, and toys have become great collectors items. He is every inch a Stafford!
